We’re so proud to support the @caarfoundation and their mission to open doors for more people across our region. Last week, we celebrated their 2nd annual “Opening Doors to Affordable Housing” benefit concert, which supports their Homeownership Navigators Program, giving lower-income families the guidance and resources they need to achieve the dream of first-time homeownership.

Last week, we had our annual business retreat! 📝

We set our sights on 2027 and got into the real stuff: how we grow our team, service our clients, and plan for the year ahead. We talked digital marketing, growth, and how we run Hive’s own marketing and operations, because we hold ourselves to the same standard we bring to our clients. We revisited what Aino and Dori learned at Social Media Marketing World in April and decided which takeaways are worth bringing home, with a team lunch at our neighbor @crozetcrepecompany to recharge and reconnect.

Planning for 2027 now gives us time to get strategic so our clients can walk into January with a clear plan and momentum.

It was an absolute joy to work with Kelsey, owner

It was an absolute joy to work with Kelsey, owner of The One Bridal Salon, to launch her new website after her first year of ownership. The One is an elevated bridal boutique in Charlottesville, Virginia, offering a private, one-on-one experience where each bride has the salon to herself and a stylist devoted to helping her find the one. ✨

The salon opened its doors in 2017 with the belief that "how you find your wedding dress should be as personal and beautiful as the dress itself makes you feel." You sense it the moment you walk through the door, and that feeling became the foundation of our design. From the soft, welcoming look to the effortless way each page unfolds, we wanted the site to feel like stepping into the salon itself. Now brides can explore beautifully crafted gowns from seven designer collections, along with a curated selection of bridal accessories, and get a taste of The One experience before they ever arrive.

Screaming happy Hive-versary to our bee, Dori! 🌟

Screaming happy Hive-versary to our bee, Dori! 🌟

Dori has been with our team for one year! She has an eye for aesthetics, a knack for making everything look effortlessly polished, and a creative spark that shows up in everything she touches.

Dori’s favorite Hive memory from her first year? “It’s SO hard to choose a favorite!

One of the best memories from being at Hive was finding out I would be going to California for the Social Media Marketing World conference. I remember being SO thrilled and couldn’t wait! It was such an incredible learning experience; I had an amazing time with Aino at the conference and on our mini Cali adventures, and I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to go during my first year at Hive!

But of course, I have truly enjoyed every single day here, from our in-office days and client content shoots to our Hive happy hours and celebrating Kalli’s wedding; each day is always fun and different. It has been a wonderful year full of learning and joy, and I am so lucky to have this as my first full-time job!”

Cheers to your first year, Dori. We’re so lucky to have you as part of the hive!
