You may have noticed your grid started looking a little different over the weekend. Here’s what’s new! Instagram announced some big changes this weekend. Maybe you’ve already noticed some of these updates on your profile.
Our team found these announcements interesting and wanted to share a quick overview. The CEO of Instagram shared a post this weekend with immediate updates and other changes in the works.
The biggest change that’s already started rolling out is the shift from square to portrait grids.
You can now adjust the grid preview to make square posts fit this new taller grid format
A future profile change is that story highlights will be moved from their current location and made into a tab, similar to the reels tab.
They also announced a new tool that allows you to reorder your entire grid.
And a bonus, you will be able to post directly to your grid without sharing to the feed.
