Our New Love: Squarespace
Many of our recent projects have involved web site development. We were trained on builder sites like Dreamweaver and Wordpress, but we have a newfound love for Squarespace. In fact, it’s what we used for our web site. Why do we love it so much? There are many reasons...Squarespace has beautiful designs and is completely intuitive from a building/editing standpoint. It provides hosting and custom email services, allows everything from blogs to galleries to online stores, includes photo editing software, and allows you to search for and buy Getty Images directly on your site. The cost is reasonable (typically between $10 - $20/month, including hosting fees). But, the main reason we love Squarespace for web site design is because it’s easy for our clients to use - one of the main concerns we hear from clients. Once the site is designed and launched, clients want to be able to edit and add content without having to rely on us or our schedules (or be billed for simple changes, for that matter).
We plan to entrench ourselves with other newer web design sites, but for now, we’re loving pretty much everything Squarespace has to offer.
Anyone else have experience with Squarespace? What are your thoughts?
